Description
We find Podere Marcigliano nestled in the green Valdichiana, on a gentle hill at the gates of the town of Cortona, which is a must-visit destination. First with its Etruscan and then Roman reminiscences, the town enjoyed considerable prosperity during the medieval period and from 1411 followed the glorious fortunes of the Granducato di Toscana. Its cobbled alleys that wind their way up the hill, the ancient buildings, squares and churches, will make you fall in love with this small and industrious centre of the Valdichiana of Arezzo area, a memory you will always carry in your heart in the years to come, we are sure!
In Cortona or Camucia you will find shops, supermarkets, typical restaurants and every kind of service you need.
Podere Marcigliano consists of 2 newly built villas, which nevertheless reflect the architectural characteristics of the farmhouses of the past. In the first building there are 3 apartments (Torreone, Tufa and the first floor owner’s apartment), in the second there are 2 units (Corito and Rugapiana).
Each apartment has a large green area, a beautiful swimming pool (size 7x14 m, depth 1.50 m - open from 11 May to 30 September), a barbecue, a laundry room in common use and children's games, and its own private area equipped with a furnished gazebo for your meals in the open air.
You will find yourself living your stay in contact with nature but still close to the major centres of Tuscany and Umbria. Its convenient location, quiet but not isolated, makes Podere Marcigliano the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday while not being far from the major communication routes that will allow you to easily visit, even on day trips, cities of art and small charming villages, little known jewels of the Central Italian countryside.
Podere Marcigliano is also the ideal structure for off-season stays, during the winter and Christmas period, when the town of Cortona is transformed with the thousands of lights of the characteristic Christmas markets and Santa' House.
Interior description
Ground floor apartment with entrance through private porch composed of living-dining room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, two double bedrooms one of which with French window overlooking the garden. Gazebo furnished with table and chairs to eat outside.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
Breakage deposit Euro 150 per apartment (payable in cash on your arrival and held by the owner for the duration of your stay). During their stay, should travellers cause any damage to the property, they will be liable for the associated costs.
Electric car charging on demand on payment.
Heating Euro 5 per m3 per apartment (if used).
Pets are welcome on payment of Euro 5 each per day.
Air conditioning Euro 4 per day per apartment (if used).
Swimming towels available on request on payment of Euro 3 each.
Tourist tax Euro 2,50 per person per day, applied for the first 4 days only. Children up to 12 years do not pay.
HOW TO BOOK
To make a reservation you can book directly on the site by selecting the dates in the calendar of the desired accommodation, or you can send an e-mail to info@eurocasa.com specifying the name of the villa and the period you want to book and we will send you our booking confirmation with all the details to proceed with the payment.
Methods of payment (by bank transfer or Credit card)
At the time of booking confirmation we will require the payment of a deposit of 20% the total amount of the booking.
The payment of the balance is required within 35 days before the beginning of the stay.
If the booking is made within 35 days prior to the start of the rental period, the amount must be paid in full upon confirmation of the booking.
Cancellation terms
-20% of the rental price for cancellations received up to 36 days before the rental.
-100% of the rental price for cancellations received between the 35th day and the day of commencement of the rental, and in case of No Show.
Ein schöner Urlaub
Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Den Pool konnten wir leider nicht nutzen (Oktober). Die Lage ist ganz Okay wenn man an einem Ort viele Highlights der südlichen Toskana machen möchte. Die Gastgeberin kann leider kein Englisch, aber weiss sich mit dem Smartphone zu helfen. Grundausstattung wie Backpapier oder Handseife haben leider gefehlt, aber sonst alles an Geschirr inkl. Geschirrspülmaschine vorhanden. ******************** The stay was very pleasant, very good parking facilities. Unfortunately we could not use the pool (October). The location is okay if you want to do many highlights of southern Tuscany in one place. The hostess unfortunately doesn't speak English, but knows how to help with her smartphone. Basic equipment such as baking paper or hand soap was unfortunately missing, but otherwise all the dishes including the dishwasher were available.
Soggiorno meraviglioso
Soggiorno meraviglioso immerso nelle campagne toscane. Tranquillità assoluta e struttura incantevole immersa nel verde.
Podere davvero molto bello
Podere davvero molto bello in posizione strategica per varie escursioni, alloggi ampi ,arredati con gusto, cucina a disposizione nuovissima e con tutti i confort a disposizione, bella la piscina e una menzione particolare alla pulizia impeccabile.
Siamo stati benissimo!
Abbiamo soggiornato presso il Podere Marcigliano quest'anno in agosto per la prima volta. L'alloggio che ci hanno dato era perfettamente tenuto, pulito, e dotato di tutti i confort. La piscina era meravigliosa. Siamo stati benissimo. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo!
Soggiorno alloggio Rugapiana Ppodere Marcigliano)
Ho soggiornato 2 settimane nell'alloggio Rugapiana presso il Podere Marcigliano… semplicemente splendido… lontano da tutto ma vicino a tutto... tra i 10 e 40 minuti si possono visitare i paesi più belli di Toscana e Umbria, se non d'Italia, come Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano… La struttura è immersa nella campagna sottostante le colline e si possono trascorre piacevoli giornate a bordo piscina o serate cenando all'aperto dopo un bel barbecue. Perfetto per famiglie con bambini (c'è tanto spazio per giocare) e anche per gli amici a 4 zampe (c'è un'ampia vallata isolata dove poterli far correre). Il mio giudizio è più che positivo!!!
